A Philadelphia Vireo, first discovered on Wednesday in Island 22 Regional Park in Chilliwack, was reported again on Friday by Rick Toochin. Both sightings of the bird indicate that it associates with a large flock of chickadees and kinglets. Originally it was seen in the equestrian area in the SW corner of the main park area but Rick reports that he relocated it further west in a separate woodlot. Take Young Road (exit off Trans Canada) north all the way to the Fraser River, and Island 22 is well signed on the left. Park outside the park or drive in ($5 parking fee)
Good luck to those looking for it... I guess I should go soon too!
