At 10:30 am on June 23-2026, Doug Martin found a White Wagtail of the lugens subspecies in the parking lot of West Coast Reductions.
Please view the bird from the public road (Maughan Rd) only as you must be an authorized guest to enter the parking lot.

It is likely the same bird first reported by Jillian Wheatley on May 17 at nearby Biggs Park, which was an unconfirmed sighting with no photo.

At 1 pm on June 19-2026, Steve Valasek saw a Nazca/Masked Booby flying over the Norwegian Bliss cruise ship offshore from Tofino. Photos are too poor to determine species.

At 10 am on June 14-2026, Griffin Duckworth, Mike Gallimore and Megan Cesarone found an Ash-throated Flycatcher during a monthly bird count at Squamish River Estuary.

The bird has not been relocated since the initial sighting.
At 9:45 am on June 13-2026, Rebecca Maier found a Snowy Egret on the breakwater at Salmon Arm Pier. She watched it fly over the rocks and didn’t see it again.

The bird continued in the same spot on June 16th and spends hours on the other side of the breakwater out of view. It has been viewed by multiple observers.
The bird has not been relocated on June 17th.

At 11 am on June 6-2026, Lara Roorda found and photographed an immature male Summer Tanager that briefly perched at the feeders at the Scout Island Nature House in Williams Lake.
The bird has not returned since.

On June 6-2026, Sachi Snively found a Brown Thrasher at his private home in Queen’s Bay. The bird was singing as well.
The home is not open to the public.

At 4:30pm on June 5-2026, Ian Cruickshank found a male Northern Parula singing in Oak Trees along Hull Rd. He photographed and made an audio recording of the bird.

At 4:15pm on June 1-2026, Jakob Dulisse found a Ferruginous Hawk circling over Argenta for a few minutes before he lost it.
