Directions: To get there you have to drive from Dixon Road, to the Logging roads. You follow Stillwater main until Mile 16 and then go right to E-branch (4×4 with some clearance needed). You can drive till an old quarry where you can park hereBeware of active logging. From the parking it is a 4.5km hike up the road, till the end. Here you go up the trail. Follow the trail (keeping right) and after 45-60 minutes you are above the lake at the spot where the birds are.

Directions: Easiest route is up from the Halfmoon Bay end of Trout Lake Rd, Then take Crowston Rd towards Phare Lake. Turnoff is about 1.8 km from Chaos Corner. If you get to the “Y” to Phare Lake you are too far. The access road runs along the right side of the recent large cut, so don’t go on the road that heads into the middle of the bottom of the cut. You may want to walk from the end of the cut where there is a very deep water bar.*
