At 12:10pm on December 15-2025, Simon Dakin found a Pine Warbler at his private home visiting his suet feeder in Victoria.
The bird continues on Dec 16th at the same home and has been viewed by multiple observers. The homeowner is allowing birders to view from the public street.
The bird is coming to the suet feeder on Harriet Rd just north of Burnside Rd E. in Victoria. The homeowner has graciously moved the feeder to the front yard.
The bird has also been seen in a mixed chickadee and bushtit flock in a tall cedar at 3264 Irma St across from Rudd Park.

On Dec 17/25-Jan 3/26, the bird was relocated at the feeders near the tree with Christmas ornaments at 3229 Irma St.

Please be respectful of private residences and do not block driveways or stand on driveways and do not trespass when viewing this bird.
This is the third record for BC.
**On Jan 3rd the bird appeared to sustain a window strike injury and was not seen on Jan 4th.**

At 12:50 pm on Nov 28-2025 Fred Dobson found a Summer Tanager at his suet feeder at his private home. The bird stayed until 4:30pm but has not returned since.
This is the 12th record for BC.
The bird was relocated in Krystal McEwan’s private yard on Dec 8 and stayed until Dec 12th-2025.

A Prairie Warbler was photographed by Hsien Chong Tan and viewed as well by Ju Dee Ang at 10 am on Nov 20th in a blackberry bush near the Maple St Pumphouse at Blackie Spit Park.

On November 23-2025, Ethan Gosnell found a male Tufted Duck moulting out of eclipse plumage at the outer pond at Iona Regional Park in Richmond.

The bird was also seen in the NW inner pond on Nov 24-Dec 9th
From Dec 11/2025-Feb 9/2026, the bird was in the main outer pond and in the scaup flock off the base of the causeway and also back in the NW inner pond.

On Nov 15-2025, Kelly Price found and photographed a male Painted Bunting. The bird was at the feeder in the yard of his sister’s private residence, in Williams Lake.
The bird continues at the feeder on Nov 18th.
**The home is NOT open to the public.**

At 11 am on Nov 11-2025, Kalum Srochenski found a male Black-throated Blue Warbler at his private home off Frontage Rd near Sykes Rd W in Prince George.
Birders are welcome to view the bird from the public street.

The bird returned to the same location on Nov 17th and birders are welcome to come view it.

On Nov 10-2025, Thomas Rivest found a male Hooded Oriole feeding from the planters at Great Bear Lodge at the end of Smith inlet in BC's Central Coast. This lodge is NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC and CLOSED for the winter season.
This is the 31st record for BC.

At 10:15 am on Nov 10-2025, Thompson Hyggen found a Blue-gray Gnatcatcher at Finlayson Point and then at 11 am it moved 200m to the west off Dallas Rd, where it was viewed by multiple birders for at least 20 mins. It was loosely associating with a flock of bushtits.
