At 5:05 pm on August 30-2026, Ilya Povalyaev found a Cocos Booby while aboard a BC Ferries vessel on the Duke Point to Tsawwassen route. The bird was seen sitting on the water and then flying west straight off Deltaport. The bird was too distant to be viewed from land and was not seen again when scoping from the terminal.
